MODEL OVERVIEW

About this model: Samsung DW80J7550US/AC

Samsung DW80J7550US/AC WaterWall dishwasher: six verified display codes and model-specific controls.

Confirm the J755 WaterWall model

The Canadian Samsung listing identifies DW80J7550US/AC as a WaterWall dishwasher rated at 44 dBA, with five wash programs and capacity for fifteen place settings. It lists Zone Booster and Dry plus, but specifies no cutlery tray. That last detail prevents borrowing a third-rack loading instruction from a different WaterWall variant. Its support page links owner file 5975777. The cover of that PDF includes the DW80J755 series; page 8 assigns a particular touch-control panel to the DW80J994 and DW80J755 series, and the appendix names DW80J7550US directly. These are three separate checks that the six-character codes on page 31 apply to this machine. WaterWall describes the wash system, while the status display reports time, delay and information codes. If the machine stops, photograph the complete display before switching it off. A displayed code is stronger evidence than a vague account of weak cleaning, and the precise model suffix matters when comparing manuals.

Separate cycle settings from alarms

Power normally restores the last finished cycle light, although Normal is the default on a fresh selection. The five selector choices are Auto, Normal, Heavy, Delicate and Express 60'. Auto assesses soil, Delicate is intended for fragile glassware, and Express 60' is the quicker roughly one-hour choice. Delicate cannot combine with Zone Booster, Dry plus or Sanitize; an unavailable option is therefore not itself a fault. The Sanitize lamp may blink at its temperature threshold and later remain lit. Dry plus lengthens drying and is carried into the next run unless turned off. Hold Dry plus for three seconds to toggle Child Lock; while locked, only Power remains available. Delay Start advances in one-hour steps up to twenty-four hours. Holding Start for three seconds deliberately cancels and drains a run. The J755 Pocket LED also lights during operation; brightness can be adjusted from B0 to B5. A separate water-reflector interference alarm makes the display blink and chime when an object obstructs the reflector. Check the bottom of the tub before treating that alert as one of the page-31 information codes.

Use the adjustable racks and wash zones

The wash zones change where water is concentrated, which is useful when diagnosing missed soil rather than a displayed code. Zone Booster L targets the left part of the lower rack, R the right, and both together the whole lower rack. Selecting a booster does not turn off the upper nozzle. Put pots or pans in the matching booster area and ensure a handle cannot obstruct either the rotating nozzle or moving water reflector. The upper rack adjusts before loading: with the rack placed for greater lower clearance, plates up to twelve inches fit below, while the upper level takes pieces up to eight inches. The manual cautions against changing rack height after dishes are loaded because they can be damaged, and both side adjusters must be moved together for the door to close properly. Upper and lower plate supports also change angle or fold to make room for cookware. This exact product has no cutlery tray according to Samsung's specification; use the supplied basket rather than advice written for a related series with a tray. Cleaning performance should be assessed with the chosen zone, rack position and actual five-cycle program recorded.

Respond to the six display codes

The table on page 31 gives six display codes, each a check category rather than a conclusive diagnosis of one failed part. OC is over-level water: close the inlet valve, turn off the dishwasher breaker and seek authorized Samsung service. LC is a leakage check; for a leaking supply-valve connection, isolate water and electricity, contact the installer, and then Samsung if it continues. With 4C, inspect a closed valve, suspended supply, frozen inlet or foreign particles; unresolved water supply trouble calls for the valve to be shut and service contacted. A 5C drain check points to a folded or clogged hose or blocked sump drain, checked after closing the supply valve. HC is a heating-temperature check: Samsung instructs an empty detergent cycle, then breaker isolation and service if repeated. For 3C, turn the unit off and retry because the check concerns pump operation. Call Samsung for an unlisted code instead of assigning it a meaning from a different product. Record whether the alert followed a reflector obstruction, a delayed start or a genuine wash interruption so a technician can reproduce the condition.
