MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: Samsung DW80CG5450SRAA
Exact-model guide to Samsung DW80CG5450SRAA information codes, StormWash zone and AutoRelease settings.
Identify the exact 46 dBA model
DW80CG5450SRAA is the stainless steel, recessed-handle Samsung dishwasher sold with a 46 dBA rating, Wi-Fi, an AutoRelease door and StormWash. The handle detail is useful: the same family includes a bar-handle variant, so a photograph or generic family name alone is insufficient when checking parts. Samsung’s owner PDF names the DW80CG545* series on its cover and draws a separate control panel for it on page 27. That panel includes a numeric display and a dedicated wash-zone option. The information codes below therefore refer to a real display associated with this exact series, not to an imagined diagnostic light on an older dial model.
Treat LC as a possible water leak
LC is a leakage check, and the response depends on where water is escaping. The manual specifically describes a leak at the water-supply-valve connection: close the supply valve, go to the household breaker panel, switch off the dishwasher circuit and contact the installer to correct the connection. If the problem continues, use an authorized Samsung service center. Do not treat LC as a routine refill reminder or try to clear it by repeatedly restarting the cycle while water is present. Page 51 introduces these as information codes displayed by the control panel; the same table places LC beside water-supply and drain checks, making the distinction between them important for safe troubleshooting.
Separate 4C supply from 5C draining
A displayed 4C points upstream, toward the water supply: Samsung asks whether the valve is shut, clogged or frozen and whether household pressure is below the required level. A 5C points downstream, toward draining. Close the supply and inspect the drain hose for a fold or blockage, then check the drain opening inside the sump. If either condition remains after those checks, follow the service instruction in the code table. Routine filter care is related but not identical to a fault code: the maintenance chapter recommends cleaning the filter monthly, rinsing both the coarse and micro filters and turning the handle clockwise to lock it back in place.
Read heating and functional codes carefully
The remaining codes describe different systems. HC is a high-temperature heating check; Samsung instructs an empty-machine cycle with detergent, then switching off the breaker and contacting service if it remains. For 3C, which concerns pump operation, or PC, which concerns zone washing, turn the dishwasher off and try again before requesting service if the code returns. 9C9 is more urgent: the IPM is overheating, and the manual says to unplug the appliance and contact customer service. None of these should be confused with the settings strings U1/U0, J1/J0, F0–F6 or A1/A0 shown on page 33; those are chosen configuration values, not this fault table.
Load StormWash zone and choose a cycle
The selected program affects what the displayed result means for everyday use. For stubborn cookware, place pots and pans face down in the marked left part of the lower rack and select the Storm Wash+ zone; its targeted jet receives additional power. The Lower Rack option instead runs only the lower nozzle for a smaller load. The cycle overview distinguishes Auto, Normal, Heavy, Delicate, Express 60 and Pre Blast, while Download Cycle brings app choices such as Plastic, Baby Care and Drinkware. Sanitize raises final-rinse temperature and has its own lamp behavior. This differs from a heating fault such as HC: a lit Sanitize indicator during the selected program is ordinary operation, not a diagnostic code.
Maintain controls and AutoRelease settings
Several display characters are ordinary controls. Delay Start schedules a wash as much as twenty-four hours ahead, while SmartThings provides the Wi-Fi connection described in the owner guide. AutoRelease Dry opens the door at the end of the appropriate cycle; its alert can be set to J1 for on or J0 for off in the settings menu. Those J values should not be mistaken for LC or 5C. Touch the center of one control at a time and wipe the surface with a soft damp cloth so the touchpad remains responsive. Monthly filter cleaning completes the basic care routine. If a code returns after the action prescribed on pages 51–52, record its exact characters before contacting Samsung.
