MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: LG LDPS6762S
LG LDPS6762S: exact dual-display, TrueSteam dishwasher with documented fault codes.
Identify the two displays and the specific build
The LDPS6762S product page and its official specification identify a top-control LG dishwasher with QuadWash Pro. Its abbreviated owner PDF says LDPS676** on the cover, while the separate spec explicitly prints LDPS6762S. That two-part link matters because the manual discusses a family, whereas the specification establishes which equipment belongs to this exact stainless SKU. The drawing on owner page 25 shows a hidden top control row and a second numeric window on the front. During a cycle the front window can show remaining time without opening the door; the upper display also estimates the run time. Neither countdown is a diagnostic message by itself. The exact spec rates this model at 44 dBA, fifteen place settings and three spray arms. It also lists TrueSteam, QuadWash Pro, Dynamic Dry and a height-adjustable third rack with three positions. Those details help identify a unit whose interface and loading space differ from an older LG model with only a top timer. Compare the door, front digits and rack layout with the drawing before applying any error table to a photograph of the machine.
Use steam, drying and connected controls
This model lists ten wash cycles and eight options, but the names serve different purposes. Refresh warms dishes with steam and specifically omits detergent. Turbo is a quick wash for light soil and does not dry unless a drying option or another cycle is selected. Night Dry vents moisture periodically after a run; it does not prove that the heater is broken when a load is damp. The Steam option can leave a Sanitized indicator only when the required conditions were achieved, apart from the Refresh cycle. The spec also confirms Wi-Fi and ThinQ Care. Page 26 shows a Wi-Fi light for a home connection, and the guide limits setup to a 2.4 GHz network. Remote Start can begin a selected cycle from a phone once enabled with the door closed; an opened door or an expired four-second closure window cancels that mode. A rotating pattern around the digital display may announce a feature update from ThinQ. Treat that notification as a software state rather than giving it an invented water or motor fault meaning.
Maintain the rack, filter and setting indicators
The three-level cutlery rack creates space for narrow utensils, while the upper rack can be raised to fit taller dishes below. Loading the tray so the door can close fully is more useful than forcing an oversized bowl under it. The manual recommends removing food from the filter after each load and checking the drain air gap when disposal plumbing is used. Its Machine Clean lamp flashes every thirty cycles as a reminder, not as an error. Rinse aid begins at level two and can be changed from L0 to L4; the refill lamp only asks for more rinse aid unless the level has been set to zero. On this unit P1 is the default Machine Clean download cycle, and the owner table labels P1 through P7, L-level displays and CL control lock as ordinary states. CL prevents button changes but does not physically latch the door. Photograph the whole display, including the front time indicator and lit option icons, before assuming that any short combination of letters is a failure.
Read a fault without confusing it with a mode
The real fault rows are on pages 42 and 43. IE concerns incoming water; inspect the supply and a kinked, frozen or blocked inlet hose. OE concerns drainage; the manual points to the outlet hose, filters, external air gap and sink disposal. Those two water paths call for different checks. bE can result from excess foam after unsuitable detergent or from poor leveling. AE is the leakage warning: shut off the water and contact LG; the appliance may continue protective drain pumping intermittently. FE names excessive supplied water, HE the heater circuit, tE the water-temperature sensor, LE the wash motor and NE the Vario motor. Those component rows direct the owner to service, not to a guessed replacement part. Keep upper and lower case exactly as displayed and note whether the alert appeared during fill, wash or drain. The exact LDPS6762S model number, a photograph of the panel and the cited page are better evidence for support than a symptom copied from another dishwasher series.
