MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: LG DLE7150W
The white electric LG DLE7150W has real tE, PS and d80/d90/d95 messages in its linked owner manual.
A white rear-control dryer with eight programs
LG's DLE7150W is the electric, white rear-control member of the 7150 family. Its official sheet names the white SKU and UPC separately from the gas DLG7151W. The 7.3-cubic-foot capacity belongs to a tall top-load companion format: 27 inches wide, 44¼ inches high and 29½ inches deep. Allow about 50¼ inches of depth when the door is open. These dimensions make the raised controls and front access different from a compact front-control dryer, even though some warning codes happen to look familiar. LG lists WT7150CW as the matching washer.
The exact specification confirms an eight-program dial, LED status display, Sensor Dry, FlowSense and an aluminized alloy steel drum. The owner PDF is reached through LG's DLE7150W support entry and its cover includes DL*715**. On the panel drawing, the selector is beside a rear-mounted display and Freshen Up occupies a position absent from some other LG dryers. This panel and the white model entry in the spec establish applicability of the fault table. Do not apply the PDF's gas-only instructions to this electric unit; the steam-only “bIG” line is also unsupported by the exact product sheet.
Choose a program for the load
Normal, Heavy Duty, Bedding, Delicates and Perm. Press sit among the sensor choices. The sensor system compares fabric moisture with air moisture and revises the remaining-time estimate as drying proceeds. Heavy Duty starts with high heat for sturdy garments; Delicates defaults low for lighter fabrics. Bedding is intended for bulky pieces that need room to tumble. These settings should be matched to the load before treating a longer cycle as an electronic fault. The manual warns that not all dryness or temperature modifiers are available with every program.
Three manual selections answer different needs. Speed Dry is for a small load; Air Dry provides tumbling without heat for suitable materials. Freshen Up aims to reduce light wrinkles, so it should not be judged by the standards of a full wet-load dry. Time Dry chooses 20, 40 or 60 minutes on this rear-control panel, with More Time and Less Time adjustments. Energy Saver starts Normal with a period of air drying and increases total time. Wrinkle Care can then rotate the load periodically for as long as three hours after the ordinary cycle ends.
Read the indicators and installation test
Clean Filter illuminates at the start of a run and turns off once Start/Pause is pressed. Dry and Cool describe the active stage, while the time display can change after moisture sensing. Control Lock can alternate CL with remaining time; that is a locked control state, not a broken thermostat. The Flow Sense light carries a different message: the external exhaust path may be restricted. The rear panel drawing explicitly includes these indicators for the DL*715** family, and the exact spec also lists duct clogging and lint filter indicators.
During setup, LG provides an empty-drum installation test for the exhaust path. A successful test activation shows 1N, and its completion shows the letter O. Those are test states, not the d80/d90/d95 service codes. A lit Flow Sense result during the test calls for duct inspection, but LG notes that even a test without bars cannot rule out every restriction. A household vent can change after installation; when drying becomes slow, compare the actual display and airflow rather than assuming the original installation result remains valid forever.
Follow the code to the affected system
The visual troubleshooting table on page 39 groups tE1 through tE7 as temperature sensor failures and tells owners to switch the dryer off and call for service. PS is instead about the electric power-cord connection at the terminal block. These two findings call for different responses: clearing lint will not repair a sensor or a loose electrical connection. The specification gives 240 volts and 30 amps for the electric type, while the PDF also has gas data for another family member. Record the complete code and keep electrical work with qualified personnel.
d80, d90 and d95 all direct attention to a long or restricted exhaust run. LG says not to continue using the machine with a severe blockage until the system has been cleaned or repaired. Look at the exterior hood, bends and lint buildup, and consider whether the transition duct has been crushed behind the cabinet. Four bars or a lit Flow Sense indicator during an ordinary run reinforce that physical check. After the restriction is cleared, several consecutive cycles may be needed before the indicator resets; an enduring warning beyond the manual's guidance needs service.
Maintain the filter and diagnose persistent faults
Remove lint from the screen after each cycle, inspect ductwork monthly and arrange at least yearly duct cleaning. LG also explains that fabric-softener residue can coat the screen; wash a heavily clogged filter with warm soapy water, dry it completely and reinstall it before using the appliance. Never operate without the filter. Damp Dry Signal announces roughly 80-percent dryness when selected, allowing quicker-drying pieces to be removed early. It is a user-chosen prompt, separate from the restricted-vent codes and from the automatic start-of-cycle filter reminder.
For a persistent unexplained message, the DLE7150W sheet lists SmartDiagnosis, and the owner manual details an audible method. Turn the appliance on, place the phone near Power, hold Temp. for at least three seconds and keep the phone still until the tones finish in the LG ThinQ app. The app can add context to a fault report, but it does not replace the page 39 direction to stop the dryer for temperature sensor trouble or unsafe exhaust restriction. Keep a note of the displayed characters, selected cycle and whether Flow Sense was lit before arranging service.
