What the panel is telling you
Page 12 of the GE PDF visibly places Door Alarm beside Quick Ice and the light on the dispenser panel. To set the warning, press the Door Alarm pad until its indicator comes on. If either of the two doors stays open more than three minutes, it beeps; closing the door stops the sound and turns off the light. A freezer door obstructed by a package is just as relevant as a fresh-food door. With the relatively smaller 6.60-cubic-foot freezer, an overfilled basket or item against the inner door can prevent a complete seal while the door looks almost shut.
