MODEL OVERVIEW

About this model: Bosch WGB24600UC

Bosch WGB24600UC: 500 Series controls, grouped drain codes and critical water warning.

Identify the white 500 Series configuration

The WGB24600UC is the white Bosch 500 Series compact washer named on the owner's cover and on its own four-page specification sheet. Its 2.4 cubic foot drum, 1,600 rpm maximum spin and 24-inch class cabinet can resemble a higher Series machine at a glance, but the specification describes thirteen programs, ten options, an LED drum light and AquaStop Plus. It names Home Connect as an available Wi-Fi feature and identifies a left-side hinge that cannot be reversed. The 500 Series sheet also describes 4D Wash, which sprays washing solution into the load. This washer has an ordinary detergent drawer with separate prewash and main-wash compartments; its guide does not describe the i-DOS reservoirs of the 800 Series. Read the complete rating-label model before applying any online code list.

Use the panel clues before calling a pause a fault

The owner's display illustration is unusually useful for this model. “0:40” is remaining program time, while “10 h” is a selected finish time; neither is a fault number. “No Spin” deliberately drains without a final spin, so wet laundry after that selection is expected. The panel can hide extra buttons until More is touched. Mini Load changes the cycle for a maximum of 1.1 pounds rather than simply allowing a normal full drum to finish faster. Prewash detergent goes into compartment I and main-wash detergent into II. A drum-clean reminder flashes after a long stretch without an Extra Hot cycle. A dark screen with the start symbol blinking is identified as energy-saving mode on page 43. Bosch directs the owner to press Start, not to diagnose a failed display from that state alone.

Read the printed drainage groups precisely

E:36 -10 and E:30 -80 share one row when washing solution is not pumped away. The manual sends the owner along the discharge route: check how high the hose is connected, whether it is pinched or improperly extended, and whether the pipe or hose is blocked. It then points to the pump cover and illustrated pump-cleaning instructions. Too much detergent is also listed in this row, so the message does not isolate a pump motor failure. E:36 -25 -26 is a more direct blocked-pump warning. For E:38 -25 -26, Bosch first specifies drum cleaning, then pump cleaning if the warning remains, and also lists an obstructed inlet opening in the rubber door seal. Page 39 advises pump maintenance at least annually and before opening the service flap tells the owner to close the faucet, switch off and disconnect power. Follow its receptacle and hot-water precautions when emptying retained liquid.

Keep inlet and critical water messages apart

On this owner sheet E:30 -10 and E:92 -01 appear with the faucet picture. The row covers a shut tap, a trapped inlet hose, dirty inlet filters or low supply pressure. A defective water-level measuring system is another listed possibility, with an automatic drain that may need about five minutes to finish. The appropriate next action depends on what is actually happening, so check the supply and let any pump-out complete before restarting. E:30 -20 is labelled a critical malfunction: Bosch tells the owner to turn the faucet off, wait for the drain sequence, restart and request service if it repeats. AquaStop Plus in the exact specification is relevant installation context, but its presence does not turn the critical message into an ordinary slow-fill warning. Note which of the two groups the display showed before reporting it.

Distinguish load balance, foam and door status

H:32 means the appliance interrupted spinning because the clothes were unevenly distributed. Spread a bulky item among smaller pieces and retry rather than interpreting H:32 as a motor diagnostic. The later troubleshooting table says brief drum turns can be normal attempts to distribute the load; it may also reduce spin speed, leaving laundry wetter. A separate foam picture is associated with overdosing detergent. Bosch gives a measured immediate treatment through compartment II but excludes outdoor wear, sportswear and down-filled items from that treatment; it also advises less detergent for the next comparable load. A flashing door picture means the door is not closed. The control lock and a programmed Finish in delay can also prevent an immediate start. These states are worth checking before resetting an otherwise responsive washer.

Use the model's connected and maintenance features carefully

Remote Start is a real WGB24600UC control, but opening the door or losing power disables remote start; the appliance's local operation takes priority. The manual says network settings can be reset and Home Connect set up again when that feature fails, while a wash fault still needs its actual displayed code. The guide's Drum Clean procedure applies after twenty Hot-or-cooler washes, when its icon flashes, or after a long period of non-use, at least annually. Its ordinary drawer can be removed and cleaned with water and a brush. For unlisted codes, Bosch prescribes a restart, then at least thirty seconds disconnected from power if the message returns, followed by customer service if it persists. Save the exact message and a photo or video for that call. Do not attempt internal repairs from a generic code table.
